Wynne-Jones Trainees Hit The Big Screen

It’s the day everyone’s been waiting for, insight and knowledge of Wynne-Jones IP Training Academy trainees can finally be viewed in video format from the comfort of your own home.

A few weeks back, some of the more showbiz trainees and I went down to the “Still Moving Image” offices in order to partake in some filming to promote this blog and get some of our thoughts out into the wider world. It was a very enjoyable day, and was good experience in learning to talk about our work and engaging people.

As the day began, most of the trainees were somewhat apprehensive about going first until Matt, one of the more senior trainees, stepped up to the plate. As the day went on everyone eased into it a bit more and we all became more and more confident in our delivery.  We answered a range of questions from what is our biggest pet peeve as an engineer, to some tips as to how to get into this profession, in an aim to help people understand what it is we do and why we do it!

I’ve already received several calls from casting directors to be the new James Bond, but alas, I have had to tell them I am too busy! Word travels quickly in this industry…

Take a sneak peak of behind the scenes pics:

Why more women should pursue careers within STEM and embrace their inner STEM superhero

As soon as Jodie Whittaker jumped in her Tardis this week she changed gender role perceptions for a whole new generation of young women.
