Three things you didn't know about Sarah:

  • Sarah flew a plane at university, but never flew solo 
  • She used to play clarinet in a jazz band and, one day, may take it up again 
  • Her favourite place to visit is Dartmoor, and favourite events are St Paul's Carnival and the Edinburgh Fringe 

 

Experience:

Sarah is a patent attorney with a background in physics and engineering and experience supporting clients in diverse industries including the automotive, satellite and space, medical device and consumer electronics industries.  Sarah has a particular interest in supporting SME businesses develop and put in place IP strategies, including capturing inventions and obtaining IP rights, searching and mapping out IP landscapes, due diligence and negotiating commercial agreements,  budget management and portfolio review, and utilising IP to maximum effect for example in navigating scenarios concerning competitor products and IP.  Sarah has also worked with a number of larger corporate clients, including working in-house on secondment where she worked closely within the patents team.  Sarah is part of IP Inclusive’s Advisory Board.

  • Chartered UK and European Patent Attorney 
  • Design Attorney 
  • MA Natural Sciences (Physics), University of Cambridge 
  • MSc Physics and Technology of Nuclear Reactors, University of Birmingham
